Making Word Document More Accessible
Presented by Rob Carr, Oklahoma ABLE Tech. This was an interactive session, no slides were used.
Resources:
- The presentation followed the principles outlined in Eight Ways to Create a More Accessible Microsoft Word Document from Oklahoma ABLE Tech.
- The Paciello Group Colour Contrast Analyser was referenced in the session as a tool to determine color contrast.
- Post-session, Rob shared some additional information from the University of South Carolina on handling Alt Text, which gives step-by-step instructions for writing Alt Text, along with tips on how to handle Alt Text for different situations. There is also lots of good resource information on their Digital Accessibility Guides & Tutorials page.
